Proven real estate marketing tactics greatly enhance their ability to sell homes. When a potential home buyer or seller is looking for an agent, they should consider the types of marketing the realtor utilizes.
Some realtor marketing tactics are basic. Others are a little more creative. When looking for a realtor to represent you, ask them how they market their business and how they will market your home. Some potential tactics include:
- What type of signage will be placed on your property? It should be professional and well-kept.
- Will the realtor provide a lockbox with electronic monitoring access?
- What type of communication will the realtor provide on buyer showings and feedback from prospects?
- What kind of staging recommendations will the realtor offer, and how will he/she assist in this process?
- Will the realtor distribute mailings, and run ads in local newspapers, real estate publications and websites?
- Will the realtor take multiple photographs or the property for the ads, and what is the quality of the photos?
- Will the realtor provide virtual tours on websites.
- Will the realtor produce color fliers and make them available in a secure box on your property?
- Will the agent conduct multiple open houses, and aggressively market the open houses?
- Will the realtor provide immediate updates on available properties within the buyer's targeted area and price range?
Marketing tactics should not be the only factor in determining which realtor will help you buy or sell your home. But it should be a major consideration.
